48th Annual World Series of Poker Approaches

The 2017 World Series of Poker (May 30th - July 17th) is fast approaching with a new and exciting schedule. The 48th installment of this incredible live tournament series will feature 74 different events of varying structures, game types, and formats — each awarding massive payouts and coveted gold bracelets.

Daily $235 buy-in deepstack tournaments will commence on Tuesday, May 30th, while those hunting official WSOP bracelets will have to wait until the 31st for their first opportunity of the year. As per tradition the $565 buy-in Casino Employees NLH will kick things off, followed by the $10,000 NLH ‘Tag Team’ event later in the day. Consisting of 2-4 person teams that can swap players in/out at anytime, the ‘Tag Team’ event guarantees a fun, high stakes experience.

Other highlights of the summer series include:

The Colossus III - $565 NLH

The smallest buy-in of the series will guarantee a $1 million first place payout. In total there will be 6 different starting fields running at 10am and 4pm on June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The Colossus will be one of the largest fields in poker history, with the prizepool and prestige to match.

$111,111 High Roller for One Drop NLH

The highest buy-in of the series comes with the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop. Kicking off at 3pm on Friday, June 2nd - it’s sure to attract one of the toughest fields of the year.

The Giant - $365 NLH

One of the smallest buy-ins in WSOP history, The Giant will offer 5 starting days spread throughout the series: June 9th, June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th, and July 7th. All flights will resume on Saturday, July 8th as Day 2 officially begins the play down to a champion.

The Millionaire Maker - $1,500 NLH

The Millionaire Maker is back again in 2017. This $1,500 NLH event will attract an enormous field, guaranteeing at least $1,000,000 to the eventual winner. There will be two starting days, June 10th and 11th at 10am.

The Marathon - $2,620 NLH

The Marathon promises lots of play with it’s deep, deep structure. Players will begin with 26,200 chips and will enjoy 100-minute levels throughout the tournament. The lone starting field will commence at 11:00am on Monday, June 12th.

Crazy Eights - $888 NLH

The Crazy Eights tournament embraces the number 8 in every way possible… $888 buy-in, 8-handed tables, and a guaranteed first place payout of $888,888! There will be four starting Day 1s beginning at 10am and 4pm on July 1st and 2nd.

In addition to these fun, exciting variations, there will also be $10K championship tournaments in virtually every discipline of poker spread throughout the series, plus the $50K buy-in Poker Players Championship on July 2nd.

The much anticipated $10,000 buy-in NLH Main Event, the year’s single largest poker tournament, will have 3 official starting days on July 8th, 9th, and 10th. The 2017 Main Event will feature live coverage on ESPN from July 8th-17th, plus three days of Main Event Final Table coverage from July 20-22nd. The Main Event will not utilize the ‘November Nine’ format, instead crowning a champion at the conclusion of the summer series.

Good luck to all participants!
