Bovada Taking Action on UFC 217

This weekend New York City will play host to one of the biggest cards in MMA history. UFC 217 will feature not one, not two, but THREE exciting title fights in what is sure to be an eventful evening. The incredible card is stacked with talent and USA-friendly Bovada has lines on everything.

The first of three championship fights will feature the Women’s Strawweight holder, Joanna Jędrzejczyk (14-0) looking to successfully defend her belt for a 5th consecutive time against Rose Namajunas (6-3). Jędrzejczyk has been one of the sport’s most dominant figures over the last four years and shows no signs of slowing down.

The second championship bout will be for the Bantamweight crown, pitting former teammates together against each other for the first time: Garbrandt vs Dillashaw. TJ Dillashaw (14-3), a former champion of the division, has been a top contender for years and was long thought to be the biggest threat to Dominick Cruz’ incredible reign. However, it was the young, cocky Cody Garbrandt (11-0) that beat him to it - defeating Cruz and taking the belt via unanimous decision last year at UFC 207. Dillashaw now gets the first crack at Garbrandt who will look to successfully defend his title.

The Main Event of the evening offers the return of UFC legend Georges St-Pierre. From 2008 - 2013 St-Pierre won, and successfully defended the UFC Welterweight title 9 consecutive times before retiring in his prime at just 32 years old. Now 36, he will put his outstanding 25-2 record on the line once again, stepping up in weight to face the Middleweight champion - Michael Bisping (30-7). Does St-Pierre still have it? We’ll find out on Saturday night.
