Dave D'Alesandro Leads Field Into Day 4 of WSOP Main Event
Dave D'Alesandro leads the WSOP Main Event Day 4 field with 1.1Million in chips as the 720 remaining players come back for what is sure to be an eventful Friday the 13th. Friday will be a monumental day for many, as 666 players will lock up at least $19K to show for their four days of poker while there are still 54 who will find themselves heading home empty handed.
However, the approaching money bubble will be looked at by many as an opportunity to apply pressure, and make their push towards the all-important final table. Notables that will enter day 4 with ammo include:
Sean Rice - 1,076,000
Jacob Balsiger - 1,065,000
Leo Wolpert - 1,003,500
Vanessa Selbst - 814,000
Sorel Mizzi - 738,000
Vivek Rajkumar - 678,000
Jason Sommerville - 637,000
Marcel Luske - 602,000
Shaun Deeb - 598,000
Randy Haddox - 579,500
Antonio Esfandiari - 485,000
While pros like Daniel Negreanu (109,000) and Jason Mercier (87,500) will launch their assault from a short stack. Past Main Event champions Huck Seed (137,00), and Johnny Chan (374,000) also remain in the hunt for their second Championship Bracelets. Gold-medal winning Canadian hockey goalie Roberto Luongo is also alive, with just 92K in chips.
Day 4 action will begin at 12:00pm PST, with the bubble expected to burst relatively quickly. Blinds will be set at 2,500/5,000 with a 500 ante. Good Luck!
