PokerStars WCOOP 2014

PokerStars has released the schedule for their annual World Championship of Online Poker. Long considered the gold standard in online poker tournaments, WCOOP 2014 will be no different with 66 events, $40 million guaranteed, and what is expected to be the single largest online tourney of the year.

It all gets underway early in the day on Sunday, September 7th, with the $109 buy-in, $700K guaranteed WCOOP Kickoff event at 8:00. From there the action only intensifies with 2 additional opening-day tournaments, each costing $215 with guarantees of $750K and $1.5 million.

Throughout the 3-week series players can test their skills through a diverse lineup that includes NL Hold'em, Limit Hold'em, Mixed Hold'em, PL Omaha, NL Omaha H/L, 5-Card PL Omaha H/L, Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, NL Draw, NL Single Draw 2-7, Triple Draw 2-7,  Stud, Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, HORSE, and more. Some of the industries best structures and formats will also be on display with Heads-Up, 4-Max, 6-Max, 8-Max, Shootout, Knockout, Progressive Super Knockout, Re-Entry, Zoom, Rebuy, 1R+A, 2R+A, Turbo, 10-Minute Level, Big Ante, and Ante Up events all on the schedule. No matter your poker specialty, there's an event for you in the 2014 WCOOP. 

The series will conclude on Sunday, September 28th with the $5,200 buy-in WCOOP Main Event. This year PokerStars has guaranteed a $10 million prizepool and first place payout of at least $1.5 million. 

Top performers will also be competing against one another in the WCOOP Player of the Series Leaderboard, with the full details and prizes being announced at a later date.
