Sit and Go 2.0 Now Available on ACR

The wait is over, USA-friendly Americas Cardroom has launched the ‘Next Evolution of Poker’, Sit & Go 2.0. This fresh take on one of the classic poker game types will offer players a new, fun, and exciting way to play with the action amplified before the cards are even dealt.

Sit & Go 2.0 is the result of a successful collaboration between ACR and the husband and wife duo Collin Moshman and Katie Dozier. Both successful poker players and renowned authors, they’ve actually written the book on Sit & Go 2.0 (available on Amazon for $.99!). The premise of 2.0 revolves around a progressive jackpot:

A Sit & Go 2.0 tournament will begin when 9 players have sat at a table and submitted the entry fee. To start the SNG 55 cards are laid out across the center of the table, face down. The 55 card deck is made up of 26 red cards, 26 green cards, and 3 special gold cards. Players will each select one of the cards, remaining face down. Once everyone has made their choice the cards will be revealed one at a time. A red card means stop, a green card means go. For every consecutive green card that is revealed additional money will be added to the SNG prizepool and more participants will be paid.

The special gold cards included in the deck will each activate a jackpot prizepool. One gold card triggers the mini jackpot, the second the medium jackpot, and the third will activate the MEGA jackpot. Jackpots will be officially applied to the table when 9 green cards have been flipped without a red being shown. For example, if 2 of the 9 players draw a gold card with the other 7 showing green cards, the players with the two gold cards would each choose a second card to flip. If they both picked green cards the jackpot would be in play.

As soon as the first red card is revealed the pre-game ends and the SNG tournament starts with the displayed prizepool. These special contests currently feature 1,500 chip starting stacks and 5 minute blind levels.
