The Beast Roars in January on ACR
Americas Cardroom has announced that they will be adding an additional $80,000 throughout the month of January to the prizepools of their weekly progressive points race, The Beast. From Saturday, January 3rd through Friday, January 30th there will be an extra $20K up for grabs each week - all of which will be awarded to the top 20 finishers.
Participation in The Beast is easy - all you have to do is hit the cash game tables on Americas Cardroom and earn as many Points as you you can. The more you play, the more Points you earn, and the higher you climb on the juicy leaderboard. What's more, unlike other promotions where players may be left footing the bill - The Beast is entirely funded by the poker room.
Each weekly Beast race will run from Saturday at 00:00 through the following Friday at 23:59, with the cash prizes being awarded by the end of the day on the following monday. Top finishers will also be rewarded with lucrative satellite tickets to some of ACR's biggest and most prestigious events.
As the prizepool grows throughout the week, the Beast payout structure adapts to pay more players. For example, if the weekly prizepool is $50,000, a total of 200 spots will pay. However, if it reaches 90,000, 360 spots will pay out. With the top 20 finishers receiving an added boost through January, the average and projected payouts at the top of the leaderboard are as follows:
