NFL Playoffs Locked

The NFL regular season is over and so is the confusion over who will, and who won’t, make the playoffs.  Here we go:

This Saturday, January 15th, two games are scheduled.  First up, on NBC at 4:30PM ET, the Bengals host the Raiders.  Back in Week 11, Cinncinnati won 32-13 in Vegas.  The second game, on CBS at 8:15PM ET, will be the third matchup this season between the Patriots and the Bills.  The first two matchups were split evenly, with the home team losing each time.  This Saturday’s game will be played in Buffalo.

Look for three games on Sunday, January 16th.  Starting at 1:00PM ET on Fox, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers host the Eagles.  Philly lost to Tampa Bay in Week 6 28-22.  At 4:30PM ET on CBS the Cowboys host the 49ers.  This is their first post-season matchup since 1994, the year Frisco won the Super Bowl.  The last game of the day, and perhaps the most anticipated, is Pittsburgh at Kansas City at 8:15PM ET on NBC.  Will this be Ben Roethlisberger’s swansong?  Two weeks ago Mahomes and the Chiefs walloped the Steelers 36-10!

The final playoff game, and for the first time in NFL history, will be held on a Monday night at 8:15PM ET on ABC and ESPN.  The 12-5 Rams will face the 11-6 Cardinals.  Their first two matchups this season were won by the visiting team.  Los Angeles hosts this third game.
