2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Wrap Up
Last week, PokerStars wrapped up their annual PCA tournament extravaganza at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas. Over the course of the 10-day tournament series, players competed in a wide array of events of different buy-ins, game types, and structures.
The series got off to a BIG start with the $100K buy-in Super High Roller tournament. The event attracted 30 players, and after three days of intense play, it was PokerStars Pro Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom who held all of the chips, earning the $1,254,400 first prize. In total, five places paid with 2010 World Series of Poker Champion Jonathan Duhamel taking fourth place.

For players that could not afford the 'Super High Roller' tournament, PokerStars also offered a 'High Roller' event with a meager $25,000 buy-in. This time it was Leonid Bilokur who claimed the PCA's second million dollar payout, earning $1,134,930 for his win. Jonathan Duhamel followed up his Super High Roller final table with a second place finish, earning an additional $634,550.
In total, 1,072 players entered the $10,000 2012 PCA Main Event, creating a total prize pool of over $10 million. At the end of the 6-day Event, it was John Dibella, a stock trader from Westchester, NY, that was being photographed with the championship trophy and $1.775 million. Prior to his astonishing PCA run, Dibella had just $43K in lifetime tournament earnings.
