46th Annual World Series of Poker Begins May 27th
Later this month thousands of the world’s best and brightest poker players will descend on the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in search of fame and fortune. With 68 prestigious bracelets on the line in addition to millions in prize money, the 46th Annual World Series of Poker schedule promises a summer to remember.
The World Series of Poker officially begins on Wednesday, May 27th with the traditional $565 buy-in ’Casino Employees’ Event at 12:00pm ET, and the first open event, $5K NL Hold’em, following a few hours later. Over the next month there will be new tournaments each day with a variety of stakes, game types, and structures. Series highlights include:
Event #5 - The Colossus - $565 buy-in NL Hold'em, $5 Million Guaranteed
The smallest buy-in ‘Open’ event will feature four separate starting times:
Friday, May 29th - 10:00am
Friday, May 29th - 6:00pm
Saturday, May 30th - 10:00am
Saturday, May 30th - 6:00pm
Requiring a minimum of 10,000 players to meet the guaranteed prizepool, ‘The Colossus’ is expected to be one of, if not the largest event (by number of players) in WSOP history.
Event #16 - $1,500 Millionaire Maker - $1 Million Guaranteed 1st place payout (June 5th - 6th)
For just $1,500 players are guaranteed a chance at an enormous 7-figure first place payout - last years champion took home $1,319,587. The structure will feature 7,500 starting chips and 60-minute levels.
Event #28 - $1,500 NLH Monster Stack (June 12th + 13th)
15,000 Chips and 60-minute levels await participants of the ‘Monster Stack’ event - possibly the best tournament for the money on the 2015 schedule.
Event #42 - $1,500 Extended Play NLH (June 20th)
The new Extended Play event brings a great structure to the table with 7,500 chips and extended 90-minute blind levels.
Event #55 - $1,500 DraftKings 50/50 NLH (June 27th)
New for 2015, the DraftKings 50/50 will pay out exactly 50% of the field.
Event #58 - High Roller for One Drop - $111,111 buy-in
The spectator friendly One Drop event will feature 300,000 starting chips, 40-minute levels, and what is sure to be one of the most stacked fields of the summer.
Event #64 - $1,000 WSOP.com Online Bracelet Event (July 2nd)
WSOP.com will play host to the first ever online tournament to award a World Series of Poker bracelet. Players will compete online via WSOP.com until just six remain, all of whom will be invited to compete for the top prize through a live final table at the Rio.

Event #27 - $10K Seven Card Stud Championship (June 11th)
Event #29 - $10K NL 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship (June 13th)
Event #37 - $10K NL Hold’em 6-Handed Championship (June 17th)
Event #40 - $1K Seniors NL Hold’em Championship (June 19th)
Event #41 - $10K Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Championship (June 19th)
Event #44 - $50K Poker Players Championship (June 21st)
Event #50 - $10K Limit Hold’em Championship (June 24th)
Event #53 - $1K Ladies NL Hold’em Championship (June 26th)
Event #54 - $10K PL Omaha Championship (June 26th)
