PokerStars Launches Zoom Poker
Today, PokerStars officially launched their speed poker product known as 'Zoom Poker'. Zoom Poker will allow users to play more hands in less time, creating a new, challenging, and potentially lucrative experience for all players. Playing hands at an extremely accelerated rate will allow players to maximize their profits, and ascend the excellent PokerStars VIP ladder much quicker.
The Zoom Poker Beta was released this March, with two pools of 1,500 players running around the clock at $.01/$.02 No Limit Hold'em to $2/$5. During the Beta process, over 300 million hands were dealt as the product received great praise from those participating. Zoom Poker is now available in Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, and 5-Card Draw game types.
Zoom Poker, similar to Full Tilt Poker's 'Rush Poker', will operate with seperate pools of players. All players in a particular pool will be randomly assigned to a table, and dealt a hand. They can then make a decision whether they would like to continue with their cards. If they decide not to, hitting the fold button will automatically muck their hand and jump them to a new table with a new hand waiting. Players can muck as many hands as they'd like, immediately receiving new cards at a new table until they find one that is suitable to play. PokerStars users can have up to eight different Zoom Poker entries running at once.
Zoom Poker can be found via the PokerStars client, under the new 'Zoom Poker' tab. Select the stakes you would like to play, and then 'join game' to try it out.
PokerStars is the worlds most popular poker room, offering the largest player base of over 49 million registered members, and the experience of both 80 billion hands played, and more than 550 million tournaments. Don't have an account on PokerStars? Sign-up through TheNuts today.
