After being outscored 38-24 in the 3rd quarter, the Boston Celtics opened the 4th quarter with seven 3-pointers to beat the Golden State Warriors in Game One of the 2022 NBA Finals Thursday night in San Francisco 120-108.  After the 2nd game this Sunday night from the Chase Center, the Finals will move to Boston for Games 3 & 4.  If needed, Game 5 will be in Frisco, Game 6 in Boston and Game 7 in Frisco.

The MVP for Game One had to be Boston’s Al Horford.  In his first Finals appearance, Horford had 26 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and a career high 6 3-pointers!

This is the Warriors sixth Finals appearance since 2015 and their first since 2019.  Of their five Finals appearances played since 2015, Golden State has won three times.  As for Boston, their last Finals appearance was 2010 and their last win was 2008.
