Super Bowl LVII Locked

We now know who will play in Super Bowl LVII:  Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs and Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles.

In the NFC Championship Game, the Eagles dominated the 49ers, winning 31-7.  It was a different story for the AFC Championship between the Chiefs and the Bengals.  At the end of the first quarter, the Chiefs led 3-0, and at the halfway point were up 13-6.  Both the Bengals and the Chiefs scored touchdowns in the third quarter and Cincinnati tied things up in the fourth quarter 20-20.  With seconds remaining, Mahomes put the Chiefs in field goal range and Kansas City won 23-20!

The Eagles’ last Super Bowl appearance was 2018, memorable for Justin Timberlake’s half-time show that didn’t include a wardrobe malfunction.  Philadelphia defeated Tom Brady’s Patriots 41-33.  This will be Jalen Hurts first Super Bowl appearance.

The Chiefs’ last Super Bowl appearance was 2021, when The Weeknd headlined at the half and Tom Brady’s Buccaneers beat Kansas City 31-9.  This will be Patrick Mahomes third Super Bowl appearance in four years.

You can watch Super Bowl LVII February 12th at 6:30 PM ET on Fox, live from State Farm Stadium in Glendale AZ.
