WSOP WTF Flop

In one of those rare wtf poker moments, the same two cards were dealt on the flop!  Okay, no big deal, just a friendly game of Texas Hold’em, right?  Nope.  This was during the WSOP’s “Million Dollar Bounty” event in Vegas over the weekend.

As you can see in the image, the flop was five of clubs, followed by the three of spades, followed by the three of spades.  D’oh!

WSOP VP Jack Effel chalked it up to a faulty deck not being properly checked before play began.  The hand was ruled dead, the deck of cards was trashed, and play resumed.

But not before several photos were taken and tweeted, which did not sit well with Caesars management, which threatened to ban anyone who took a photo from all Caesars properties.  Thankfully, cooler heads quickly prevailed and the ban was rescinded.
